This cute picture, named Treasure Map, was made by digital artist aards2. It was one of the entries in the Pirate Ren contest on Worth1000.com in September 2008. Artists were invited to add some “pirate flair” to classic artworks. Treasure Map is a remastered version of Bouguereau’s original 1884 work La Bourrique (The Horseback Ride).
