Bouguereau Joins The Presidential Race — And Wins!

palin-mccain.jpg
Gold winner Palin 2008. Sarah Palin carrying John McCain to the White House?

With the US presidential elections hotting up it’s no surprise that Bouguereau is the artist of choice for photoshoppers who want to create political posters. The one above shows the republican ticket for the 2008 race. Created by digital artist midian, it was the winning entry in a News in Pictures contest on FreakingNews, in August 2008. The remastered work is based on Bouguereau’s original 1985 painting Fardeau Agreable (Not too Much to Carry). Below you can see both works side by side. Click each to view them in larger format.

Palin 2008 has been added to the Children group, where you can now find five remastered versions of the same painting.
