In August 2008, FreakingNews.com held an Olympics Art contest, inviting digital artists to dress up the characters in works of art in any sports uniform. Out of the 18 contest entries no less than four were remastered Bouguerau works, and two of them were winners. The gold medal went to the photoshopped Nicole Cooke [wikipedia], who also won Gold in the Olympic Road Race in Beijing. The work was created by digital artist preemiememe. A bronze medal went to an anonymous tennis player (by Mundo) who, coincidentally, is the winner of a Bronze medal in this photoshop creation:
